WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL OPEN?

The festival gates open at 10am on Saturday, DJs start at 10am till 11pm

The bar closes at 10.30pm, food closes at 10.45pm and the music concludes at 11pm.

There will be a cool down area open until 12am for you to wait and eat, to avoid the shuttle bus queues.

The official after parties at Mint Warehouse will start immediately after the festival.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

CAN I BRING A BAG IN TO MiNT FESTIVAL?

No big bags or rusk sacks are allowed in to MiNT Festival due to safety. NO MAN BAGS, no bags bigger than A4 size, no camel packs. Small bags only.

Please use common sense and cooperate with all searches. Please keep your belongings with you at all times.

A lot of people have been asking questions about our cashless drinks wristbands so here are some answers to help.

CAN WE BUY DRINKS WITH CASH?

No you can’t, MiNT Festival is a cashless festival, you can only buy food and drinks with our cashless wristbands. They have a microchip on which will have your credit on to use at our bars.

CAN WE BUY DRINKS WITH A BANK CARD?

No you can’t, you can only buy food and drinks with our cashless wristbands.

SHOULD I BUY DRINKS CREDIT IN ADVANCE?

We highly recommend doing this, and we will give you a £5 free if you top up £50 – £10 free for £100

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T TOP UP DRINKS CREDIT BEFORE THE DAY?

If you don’t top up before the day you will be able to add credit to your wristband at the festival at our Top up Stations, HOWEVER, this has been our highest selling MiNT Festival ever. Once queuing to get in the festival itself you will have to join another queue to top up your wristband and we would rather you had a stress free day and go straight to the bar and the dance floor!

If you have credit remaining on your cashless wristband then please keep hold of your wristband as you will need the 14 digit ID number from the back of your wristband chip. Refund applications open online Monday 30th September 12:00 Noon. The deadline for refunds is Wednesday 2nd October 12:00 noon, so please make sure you apply for your credit refund before the cut off. Any refund application made after the closing date will not be accepted. Please note all refunds will be processed at the end of the refund application period, and funds should be available within 3-5 working days, depending on your bank. If your bank is outside of the UK, please allow for a longer processing period. All refund applications are subject to a £1.50 fee to cover banking administration costs.

There will be official coaches coming from Manchester, Hull & Newcastle.

Yes, we have several food stands at the venue, where we offer a great variety of healthy food using local suppliers.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?

The access to the Mint Festival is only allowed for people who are 18 years and older.

ARE THERE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR HANDICAPPED PEOPLE?

The venue is handicapped accessible and there is a raised platform for people who are disabled in wheelchairs. Please see the bottom of FAQ’s below for disabled access.

IS THERE POSSIBILITY TO RE-ENTER THE VENUE AFTER HAVING LEFT?

No, due to organisational reasons, re-entry is not possible.

CAN I TAKE MY CAMERA INTO THE FESTIVAL?

Only mobile phone cameras and small digital cameras for private use are allowed: video cameras are forbidden.

IS CAMPING ALLOWED AT THE VENUE?

No, camping is not allowed at Mint Festival as we are a one day Festival

WHAT IF ITS RAINING?

We will continue dancing of course… and have a sufficient number of rain capes for you!

CAN I BRING AN UMBRELLA ?

It is possible to bring a small pocket umbrella, eg. Knirps. As bigger umbrellas can be used as a weapon, those are not allowed on site.

WHEN IS LAST ENTRY?

Last entry is 8pm

Will I need ID?

We will be operating and enforcing a strict Challenge 25 policy at Mint Festival. If you can’t provide valid identification when asked, you will be asked to leave the site and come back with your ID. So if you are lucky enough to look 25 or younger, please make sure that you bring an acceptable form of identification.

Valid forms of ID include:

– An in date photographic driver’s license or provisional licence.

– A valid passport (not a photocopy). Out of date passports will NOT be accepted.

– A Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (showing the PASS hologram).

DISABLED ACCESS INFORMATION

Access around the site:

Mint Festival takes place at Church Fenton RAF Base. Leeds East Airport. The site is a green field site with sloping areas around the event site and the event entrances. The event field is park land therefore most areas within the site will be uneven. The majority of stages will be, on average, 60 to 70 metres apart.

Bookable access facilities:

– The location of the disabled car park will be adjacent to event main entrance

– The following access facilities need to be pre-booked using the Access Requirement Form.

2 for 1 tickets for personal assistants:

We provide a 2:1 ticket scheme for individuals who would be unable to attend our events without bringing a personal assistant. Once you have brought a full price ticket, please fill in the access requirement form and provide us with documentation in order to receive your personal assistant ticket.

Accessible Parking:

An accessible car park is located on site adjacent to the event entrance.

Accessible toilets:

There will be a stewarded accessible toilet located at the welfare centre and first aid point. There will be other non-stewarded accessible toilets throughout the event arena.

Assistance Dogs:

We welcome assistance dogs onto the site with advance notice.

Strobe Lighting:

There will be general warning signs in all the performance areas where strobe lighting will be used. Due to the nature of the artists it is likely that strobe lighting will be used throughout the performances. There will not be a warning immediately before a period of strobe lighting.

Medical Services:

There are First Aid facilities within the event site. There will also be Medics and First Aiders on patrol around the event. If you require more information, please get in touch.

DISABLED ACCESS FAQ’s

I am a customer with access requirements / I am disabled, how do I buy a ticket for Mint Festival 2019?

You can buy tickets by following the links on the website. If you prefer to buy tickets over the phone you can call the ticketing agencies directly.

If Mint Festival tickets completely sell out, is there an allocation reserved for customers with access requirements and/or disabled customers?

Mint Festival does not reserve an allocation of tickets for accessible customers. Once tickets are sold out, they are sold out.

I require a Personal Assistant in order to attend the event, must I buy a ticket for my PA?

If you qualify for a PA to attend the event with you, you should buy a ticket for yourself and complete the access requirement form. You do not need to buy a ticket for the personal assistant, however if you do not qualify for a PA and tickets have sold out you will not be able to buy an additional ticket.

What disabled access facilities are available at Mint Festival?

We offer accessible car parking, personal assistant tickets and disabled toilets.

documentation dated within the past 12 months or with valid date covering the time of the event:

We recognise that the evidence above is not definitive. If you do not have any of the above evidence but wish to apply for particular access facilities you will need to complete the application form and provide a statement and supporting evidence. These applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

HOLDING OF A TICKET TO MiNT FESTIVAL SIGNIFIES ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND IMPLIES AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE ATTENDEE TO OBSERVE THEM AND OTHER STATEMENTS &/OR DIRECTIVES DISPLAYED WITHIN THE EVENT ARENA.

MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY TO ANY PERSON INCLUDING TICKET HOLDERS WITH A FULL REFUND AT THE GATE

  1. Admission to MiNT Festival is strictly ticket only.
  2. MiNT Festival & management reserve the right to refuse entry or eject a person from the event for whatever reason.
  3. all persons will be subject to a search prior to entry. any refusal will result in no entry.
  4. No alcohol, bottles, cans , glass or food of any type will be permitted into the arena.
  5. MiNT Festival operates a zero tolerance approach to illegal drugs and psychoactive substances or items deemed a potential weapon or threat

to the safety of any persons will be confiscated and persons found in possession will be removed from the event and handed over

to West Yorkshire Police

  1. prohibited items include: laser pens, portable BBQs, furniture, blankets etc.
  2. no pass outs.
  3. no duplicate tickets will be issued for lost tickets.
  4. no professional type cameras, video, tape or digital recording equipment may be brought in to the event arena

without prior authorisation.

  1. no animals will be permitted within the arena with the exception of assistance dogs.
  2. cctv is in operation throughout the event with images being recorded for the purpose of crime prevention Evidence Gathering

and public safety. all incidents of crime and disorder will be reported to the police.

  1. any persons found to be selling unauthorised Merchandise will be removed from the event and handed over to West Yorkshire Police
  2. all persons entering the event arena consent to any photography, filming and recording as arranged by the promoter & / or MiNT Festival for possible future transmission of promotional purposes.
  3. In the event of a major incident or emergency evacuation, please remain calm and follow the instructions of the event
